Auudi Dorsey

Auudi Dorsey (b. 1992, New Orleans) is a painter whose practice is rooted in the everyday life of the American South. His figures are drawn from the people and circumstances of Southern culture: celebrations, traditions, social gatherings. The work is concerned with the past, present, and future of Black life in the South, and with the value held in histories that are rarely centred.
